That is like saying George Lucas isn't the main writer because he got helped or ideas from his assistant, literally the case for most if not all writers. Not saying Bruce and the staff didn't have any influence on the story, but it's ridiculous to say the main writer of part 1, wasn't actually the main writer. He changed up the formula and you guys did not like it. It just seem like you guys are in such disbelief that you can't comprehend it is the same writer that wrote last of us part 1, so you guys make up this story in your head that Bruce was the main man behind part 1 and he prevented Neil from putting in stupid ideas, there are many writers that have hot and cold stories, so you may like one story but dislike the other.Īlso I have notice that many users here best moment in part 2 was the museum flashback with Joel and Ellie, hmmmm I wonder why? Bruce nor Ashley were not involve in part 2, so it's pretty obvious that this is proof that Neil is more than capable of writing the story or show the way you all are use to, and that he knows how to write good chemistry between the two characters, that you all had grown to love and it is further proof that he is the main writer behind part 1 of last of us, the thing is he simple wanted a completely different type of story.
When I check websites, wikipedia, interview etc literally every where it list Neil Druckmann as the main writer! Because the narrative in this sub is that Neil was like some backroom staff and Bruce was the main writer and Neil did little writing in the story.īut based off interviews articles etc it seems Neil was the main writer of last of us part 1 and Bruce and I believe Ashley were more like assistance to give him input and ideas, so yes I'm not trying to paint it as Neil came up with all this, but based of what I see he is still the main writer of the story meaning many of what happens in the story originates from him and Perhaps Bruce and Ashley helped him in certain areas in the writing department/ideas and this is normal for most if not all writers, they all have assistant.
